About Share a Christmas Card

What is Share a Christmas Card?

It is the 13th time we host the Share a Christmas Card with a Stranger Event.

It all started as a fun event where you and your Troll friends around the world can get in touch with each other by sending and receiving greeting cards – and at the same time have the chance to win beautiful prizes.

This event is one of our most festive traditions! Sending cards is all about spreading joy, being creative and sending a warm Greeting. Celebrate the season with happy greetings from your new Troll friends – and put a smile on someone else’s face with a warm greeting. Even by participating, you receive your first ticket in the lottery.

This year you have the option to download and print your Christmas cards and make it into a cute Christmas Cornet! Download your cards here

Make your Trollbeads Christmas Card into a Christmas Cornet

In Denmark, we often fill the paper cornet with treats and we hang the cornet on our Christmas trees or other hangers as a cozy Christmas decoration.

This year we have added a new creative touch to the event! You can fold your received Trollbeads Christmas Cards into a decorative Christmas cornet. Use them as cute table decoration or hang them on your tree filled with Christmas sweets!

You can create the traditional paper cornet by folding the Christmas Card into the shape of a cornet. Glue the sides together and glue the handle on it. There is a DIY introduction printed on the card. Give it a couple of minutes to dry.

Upload an image of your cute Christmas cornet. You do this by clicking on "My page" and register the Troll Id and write a thank you greeting.

Now it's time to fill it with Christmas treats and surprise your loved ones.

The story behind a Danish tradition

The tradition of the cornet ornaments was a labor of love, as families would come together to craft these delicate treasures by hand. Each one was a unique work of art, adorned with colorful patterns and filled with delicious surprises. This festive activity was a time for bonding, laughter, and sharing stories, creating lasting memories.

As we continue this beloved tradition today, we not only decorate our trees with these lovely cornet ornaments but also honor the legacy of our ancestors. The cornets are a symbol of the enduring holiday spirit of generosity and the joy of giving, passed through the generations.

May your Christmas tree be adorned with the magic of Danish cornet ornaments, a reminder of the love, excitement, and sweet surprises that bind us together during this most wonderful time of the year.

The purpose of a Danish Christmas cornet decoration

Danish Christmas is a time of enchantment and heartwarming traditions, and one of the most delightful of them all is the cherished Christmas cornets. These ornaments, shaped like little cones, hold a special place in our holiday celebrations. When hanging these cornet ornaments on our Christmas tree, we are not just adding beauty, but also connecting with a rich and caring history.

The Christmas cornets have a dual purpose – to decorate the tree and to hold a special surprise inside. In  the old days, Danish families would fill these cornets with sweets, nuts, and other little treats, creating a wonderful sense of excitement and joy. Imagine the wonder in the eyes of children as they searched the tree for their favorite cornet, eagerly awaiting the delights hidden within.

It's time to fill your own Christmas Cornet with sweets and hang it on the tree!
